Krishna had heard stories about the princess of Vidharbha, Rukmini's character, virtue, and beauty. Once he received Rukmini's
letter asking him to rescue her from marrying Shisupal, it only helped
him to be easy he arranged an entire army. Fearing an attack from
Jarasandha, Shisupal's friend, he urged Balarama to follow him with his
men.
On the way when Jarasandha's men attacked, Balarama countered the
attack with his army. Krishna escaped even as Balarama fought on.
Meanwhile Rukmini who was waiting at the temple grew anxious seeing the
delay. She thought Krishna had not agreed to her plea. She was about to
leave when she felt a heavy hand on her shoulder. She turned and saw
Krishna standing before her. Overjoyed at the union, the lovers drove
