    Krishna and Akrura

Stories about Krishna's deeds spread far and wide. Hearing them, Kansa came to beleive that Krishna was eighth child of Devaki who would slay him. He wanted to kill Krishna. One day, Narendra Lord Krishna and his devotee AkruraMuni came to kansa and revealed Krishna and Balaram's whereabouts. Kansa thought of a plan to bring Krishna to Mathura.

Kansa called his minister, Akrura, and sent him as a messenger to invite Krishna to a holy Yajna in Mathura .

Unfortunately, Kansa did not know that Akrura was a great devotee of Krishna. When Akrura reached Gokul, he was filled with joy and fell at Krishna's feet. Akrura began crying and he told Krishna of Kansa's cruel plan.

Krishna laughed at Kansa's foolishness and decided to go to Mathura.
